Guides to Patchy Cloud
Plain answers to the questions people ask once their AI agent has built something for work: how to put it behind your company login, share it with your team, let it use company data safely, and whether it’s safe to allow at all.
- Getting started
Your agent built an app. Now what?
Put it somewhere your coworkers can open it from a link, behind your company’s sign-in, not on your laptop or the open web. With Patchy Cloud, you give your agent one setup line, ask it to make the app a Patchy tool, then ask it to publish: coworkers open it after signing in, and people outside your company can’t.

Deploy an app Claude Code built so only your company can use it
Put it on a private cloud that only people signed in to your company can open, not on the open web. With Patchy Cloud, you give Claude Code one setup line, have it build or adapt the app for Patchy, then ask it to publish: the app goes live behind your company login, and every version is kept.

Share a tool you made with Codex with your team
Publish it to a private cloud your team signs in to, then send them the link. With Patchy Cloud, you paste one setup line into Codex, have it adapt the tool for Patchy if it needs to, then ask it to publish: coworkers open the tool after signing in, and people outside your company can’t.
6 steps · Read the guide - Company data
Let an AI-built tool use company data safely
Have an admin connect the data source once, with a login that can only read what your tools need; tools then read through Patchy Cloud and never see the password. Everyone who can open a tool can see what it reads, so connect only data your whole company may see.

Is it safe to let staff ship tools they built with AI?
It can be, when their tools run somewhere your admins control, not on laptops or the open web. On Patchy Cloud, admins control who joins and what data is connected and can roll back any tool, but any member can publish their own tools without approval, there’s no company single sign-on yet, and the beta terms rule out sensitive data such as health records and card numbers.

Can I share Codex apps with my team without ChatGPT Enterprise?
Yes. As of October 23, 2026, OpenAI says Sites, its hosting for apps built in ChatGPT or Codex, is available on ChatGPT Plus and Pro and in supported Business and Enterprise workspaces, so if your team already works in ChatGPT, start there. Patchy Cloud fits when your team also builds with other agents, such as Claude Code, or wants its tools on a private cloud for the company, with your database connected once by an admin.
